Our challenges are a jumpboard to our growth. When we face a challenge our first reaction is to resent it. It feels like it is disrupting our lives, and tearing up the little peace we managed to achieve. We get angry, depressed, resigned, or drown in self-pity.
Then we decide to face the challenge. How do we face it?
We think about it as a thing to fix, as if it were a plumbing issue. We want to resolve it and be done with it. We mostly use our defensive attitude of control and driven “fix it power”. No wonder that some of our challenges, especially emotional and mental, return again and again to haunt us. The reason is that we did not move through them with full awareness.
Challenges are lessons for our souls on our journey of transformation. They present an opportunity to look inside and find out why are they here. How are we actually helping to bring them about? What needs to be experienced? What do we need to shift within ourselves and in our lives?
The challenge is trying to tell us that something within us is asking for a change. A challenge is indicating that our soul is actually ready to move to a higher plain. By overcoming a challenge from a state of awareness we can move forward.
We are all living with limiting beliefs, fears, past perceptions and restricted mindsets. Our soul, our higher self is looking for expansion and the experience of true inner freedom. Challenges stop us in our tracks and they can be, if we use awareness and spiritual understanding, our best ticket to transformation.
I invite you to appreciate your challenges and move through them with awareness, self-compassion, and stillness. The stillness of meditation can help you hear the guidance you need to move through a challenge.
